Privileges of Walbrook Membership
Monthly City Breakfast speakers to date include former and present heads of state, politicians, captains of industry, sporting greats, authors, editors, actors and activists. Chatham House Rule strictly applies.
A variety of clay and game shoots are organised throughout the year culminating in the annual Shoot dinner. Young Members and the Senior Side also compete annually for a trophy dedicated to the competition.
Annual Ladies’ Lunch
A staple in the calendar, the Annual Ladies’ Lunch sees a prominent speaker address the Club’s female members over a delicious lunch.
Backgammon evenings are held once a month in the bar with all abilities welcome. Matches against other clubs are also organised every year.
Fine Wine Dinners
Proprietors of prestigious châteaux such as Mouton-Rothschild, Margaux, Haut-Brion, Domaine de Chevalier, Léoville Barton and Figeac, to name but a few, have made vertical tastings of their wines at the annual, Black Tie five-course dinner.
Summer & Autumn Wine Dinners
Summer and Autumn Wine dinners are more informal tastings which take place in the presence of a Master of Wine and provide excellent opportunities for members to meet and interact.
Reciprocal arrangements are available to members with a variety of other clubs both at home and abroad. Accommodation at carefully selected London hotels is also provided at exclusive rates to the membership.
